About the Business

Planet X is a locally owned head shop and vape store. We have the largest selection in Alaska of the following products; Dab and vape pens Kratom, CBD, and natural herbs Alaskan hand blown glass Repair parts, pieces and coils We are open everyday until midnight for your convenience. We have gone through some renovations in the last couple years including remodeling of the building, increasing our staff and revamping our store to serve you better.

VAPOR – Premium large sized juices. A good selection of the most popular vape pens, atomizers, and coils. If we sell a product we do our best to keep the replacement coils in stock for at least 2 years.

SMOKE – Planet X sells dab supplies, concentrate products, butane, extractors, Oil slick, Domes & Nails, No Goo, Waterpipes, Hookahs, Shisha, Dry Herb Vaporizers, Wax Vaporizers, The largest selection of Alaskan made pipes, bubblers, and Dab supplies, Alaskan Made extractors, Blunts, Wraps, and Rolling Paper Returns:

We know things are cheaper on the internet. Tell us something we sell that is not cheaper on the internet. Many of the products you find on the internet are knockoffs and poor quality that may even look identical on the outside. We sell only authentic merchandise. We will do our best to serve you however we will not return items based on the fact you found a cheaper one on the internet.

History

Established in 2010.

We opened in a small 150 sq ft room behind the Bucaroo bar in 2010. When we outgrew that location we moved to our current spot in our own building and are constantly expanding and have grown into a very well stocked company. I have dedicated my life to this industry and when you shop with us we do our best to provide you with the service, quality and care you deserve.

At the age of 19 I discovered hemp and all its uses and I opened a hemp store in Washington state.  After this business failed I moved to Alaska in 1998. In 1999 I joined a group of people who dedicated their life to the legalization of marijuana.  Over the next 6 years years I worked long hours at very little pay as a full time marijuana activist covering 2 initiative campaigns and many outreach efforts.

During that time I was an owner of Alaska’s first marijuana cafe. Located in the heart of Spenard with painted pot leaves on the window and a 50ft pot leaf on the side of the building “The cafe pax” and later “The Indica haus” defied the governments war on drugs and provided marijuana users a safe place to go.  For the next 4 years I worked in marijuana politics, dispensaries, co-ops, and as a marijuana garden consultant across the west coast and saved all my money to open my own store back in Alaska.

In 2010 I finally came home and opened Planet X.
