Scores of vendors at the Indianapolis Marriott East showcased their CBD-infused products, including beard oil, lip balm, ice-cream, bath salts, dog treats, etc.
The sellers, of course, lauded the health benefits of CBD present inside their products; however, many skeptics and scientists doubted if the things being showcased would really do what they are being sold for.
For those who are not yet friendly with the acronym CBD, please note that Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the chemicals extracted from the cannabis plant. A number of studies have shown that CBD can help treat or relieve the symptoms of a number of diseases/conditions including seizures, pains, autism, etc. And the best part is that it is non-psychoactive. So you won’t be ‘high’ after consuming it.
Here are a few products that were available for purchase at the expo:
CBD-infused food
There were a plethora of options to choose from viz. ice-cream, gummies, chocolates, popcorn, nuts, coffee, honey sticks, etc. Consuming CBD via edible food may not be a concern, but if you are looking to see faster results, try some other CBD-ingestion method.
CBD-infused bath bombs
The majority of people were buying these bath bombs at the expo because of the anti-bacterial properties of the CBD, a ‘fact’ which the vendors were repeating again and again. Notably, CBD may help relieve the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis.
CBD flower
This should perhaps be the last thing that you should be looking at an expo. The problem with CBD flower is that although it is not marijuana, it may still look like the latter to law-enforcement authorities and sniffer dogs, and you might even get arrested as marijuana is still illegal under the Indiana state laws.
CBD-based dog treats
Many pet-guardians were rejoicing at the fact that maybe now their ailing friends might have some resort. Just like humans, dogs too have an endocannabinoid system; thus, even they may find some help to tackle pain and anxiety. Although, the American Kennel Club maintains there is no definite scientific data on how CBD oil affects dogs.
