The first marijuana clinic in Manitoba being led by a Doctor will be opened at Grant Avenue and Kenaston Boulevard on Wednesday by a new Canadian company which deals on cannabis products. It has also acquired two other facilities for cannabis medical products in Ontario. Winnipeg was selected among other cities in Canada for the production according to Gautum who is the CEO of the Growforce company running the operations.
This medical marijuana clinic will provide an alternative Method of medication to patients who need medical marijuana in Winnipeg and its environs. It will also employ more than 200 people due to the increased work in the facility.
Patients can book appointments by sending emails to the clinic thus no need for a referral. They can also book by making a phone call to the clinic. Specialists and general practitioners are given opportunities to come up with treatment plans for patients at the clinic for sickness or symptoms of sickness. According to Taylor Buckley, patients can access certain products and brands that are usually not available in recreational stores by ordering medical cannabis from the clinic directly. Buckley says that; most of their patients who need medical treatment does not buy traditional cannabis flowers, however, they purchase oils or capsules made from cannabis and then they ingest their medication. Patients in the clinic are taught on how to order for medicine, they are also taught on dosing and the various methods of intake by cannabis counselors in the clinic.
Buckley also said that recreational pot has not been mostly used by medical marijuana users and thus they should be guided when they are looking for medical marijuana Buckley furthermore stressed that it is very crucial to ensure that medical marijuana patients are provided with the correct chemical composition and prescription. They should also be provided with the correct dosage.
